We Don’t Care If Women Leaders Lie to Our Faces.

I remember preparing for a grade school spelling bee against a boy in my class, and to boost my confidence, my dad’s saying, “Anything boys can do, girls can do better.” And, at least as I remember it, I spelled my way to victory.

In other words, Amy just confirmed for us that her father lied to her to make her feel good, and now Amy recited his lie to pander for a seat on the supreme court. Hey, as long as it works, right? But this isn’t the first total falsehood Amy delivered in her opening statement.

When Vivian arrived, she was so weak that we were told she might never talk or walk normally. But now, she dead-lifts as much as the male athletes in our gym.

This is a lie. There’s no debating it, Amy Barrett just lied to everyone listening to her. Some super weak girl is dead-lifting as much as the guys? No, she doesn’t. Not only that, but she’s failing to follow the pattern her foster-mother has established. I thought girls could do better than the guys at everything! So what’s she doing only being as good as they are? Why isn’t she doing better than them?

If you watch her entire opening statement, you’ll notice there is no similar bragging on the part of her sons. Even if they’ve bested the females they’ve competed against in something, it hasn’t been mentioned. Why? Because this is a ra-ra moment for so-called conservatives. They don’t care if her sons are exceptional. They only care if her daughters are exceptional.

That aside, it isn’t lost on me that the same Christians who jumped at the chance to document what a liar Donald Trump is back in 2016 are silent as tomb now about Amy Barrett. There has been utter silence about her lying despite her being talked about a great deal. Unfortunately, the reason it hasn’t been touched is because Christians are okay with it. Anyone who would come along and call her out would be seen as mean and unchivalrous. But why aren’t we calling her out? I thought the leftists were the snowflakes, while we rock-ribbed right-wingers can wrestle with the truth without fear. But that isn’t true either, is it?

Let’s just be honest. Christians are okay with women lying to our faces. Heck, Christians are even scared of calling women murderers when they abort their sons and daughters. Of course we would let them get away with lying, because… Why wouldn’t we?

Since “Christians” (it has become a word that mostly belongs in permanent scare quotes now) have overwhelmingly and vehemently rejected God’s ordained roles for the sexes, why would we be in any way surprised that any sinful, vile thing women do becomes not only accepted by these people who keep their one good foot planted firmly in the world they love above all else, but celebrated?

I think we can actually celebrate ACB’s placement on the SCOTUS. If we’re honest with ourselves we’ll recognize that she is the embodiment of the modern perversion of the core tenets of Christianity that undergird America’s institutions, a perversion that is only hastening the inevitable great collapse. For ACB, this is metaphorically the year AD 476 and she has just been appointed to the Roman Empire’s Supreme Judiciary by Emperor Romulus Augustus. Let her enjoy here 15 minutes of fame and imaginary power before she and the body she has just joined are consigned to the Ash Heap of History.

” …. my dad’s saying, “Anything boys can do, girls can do better.””

Christian dads of daughters have been encouraging their daughters, but not their sons, in this way for decades. Later they wonder why they have so few grand kids.
